2022 Keystone Cougar 29BHS
In this video, Matt and Wil review what used to be Matt’s all-time favorite travel trailer from when he used to sell RVs back in Maryland.
Exterior
This travel trailer has only one slide out on the left side, a molded fiberglass front cap, LED lights in the front, a diamond plate rock guard, and a climate guard heated and enclosed underbelly with heating pads on the tanks.
On the sides, there is pass-through storage, electric leveling jacks, Solid Steps, a power awning with LED lights, a second door to the bathroom, speakers for an outdoor tv, 50amp, and an outdoor kitchen with a fridge, grille, and a little storage spot. The tires are ST225-75R15.
On the rear, there is a spare tire with a carrier, a ladder, a hitch for a bike rack, and a door. It’s also prepped for a backup camera.
This travel trailer comes with a power awning with LED lights, a Furrion backup camera, and a ladder. The tires on this travel trailer are ST225/75R15. It also contains a weather shield, heated and enclosed underbelly, a water heater, frameless windows, and the most important thing, a spot to attach your dog leash.
Interior
Living area
There are two double beds in the bunk area with lots of space and windows next to both. The beds also flip up out of the way.
The living area has two theater seats, a tv across from the seats, cabinets above, storage behind the tv, and an electric fireplace below.
The dining area has huge windows with privacy blinds, a dream dinette, and storage underneath the seats.
The kitchen has a compressor fridge, microwave, three burner cooktop, oven, cabinets above and below, double bowls sink, ample cabinets on the other side of the counter, and a huge pantry.
Bedroom & bathroom
The bathroom has a Wil-approved shower with lots of height and an adequate amount of width, a sink with storage cabinets above and below, and a PPP-worthy toilet.
The bedroom has a king-size bed with storage underneath, cabinets around the bed, three windows, and two nightstands with storage space.
Likes & dislikes
Likes
Matt gives a bunch of likes. He takes the first like with the bunk room because they really keep it out of the way and it folds away.
Matt takes the second like with the pantry size.
The third like is a combination of the sofa being directly across the dinette, getting an outside kitchen, and having a door to the bathroom from the outside.
Wil adds another like which is the king bed because it’s not normal for travel trailers.
Matt adds a final and fifth like, which is the auto leveling.
Dislikes
Matt takes the first dislike with the docking station set up. For such a high price the docking station setup should’ve been much better.
Matt takes the second dislike as well with the countertops—they should be solid surface countertops and there should be more counter space.
Matt takes the final dislike again with the shower tub because it should’ve been bigger for the size of this travel trailer.
Wil adds another dislike, that you can’t lock the rear door from the inside.
My final thoughts
I can see why this used to be Matt’s favorite travel trailer. The design of this is really nice with the multiple entryways into the RV, especially the door to the bathroom because it really helps bring in fresh air and it's really nice to just come straight to the bathroom from outside. The bunk room is also a smart design because of the way it folds away and the fact that the bunks take up little room but are still spacious to the people sleeping there.
MSRP: $66,788
