2023 American Coach Patriot FD2

In this video, Matt and Andrea review a motorhome with a very comfortable and modernized setup. This motorhome has a lot to offer for its compact size.

Exterior & chassis

This motorhome sits on a Sprinter 2500 chassis. It has lane assist, adaptive cruise control, a front camera, a footstep to clean the front windshield, and headlights that light up when you’re turning so you can see the pathway in front of you.

Exterior

On the sides, there are cameras, mirrors with sensors, a power awning with a wind sensor and LED lights, a ladder, and a 30amp power cord. The tires are BFGoodrich all-terrain 245-70R16. The doors have a running board and a sliding screen door.

On the rear, there is a double door with a screen and storage behind the seats. On the roof, you’ll see a roof rack, two solar panels, and a low-profile air conditioning unit.

Drivers area

In the cockpit, it is a push to start and voice-controlled with a screen to show all cameras at once. The seats are heated, power-adjustable, and have lumbar support and a massager. Above the cab, there is some storage space.

Bedroom & Living area

The living area has a sofa and two extra seats that are very comfortable. The living area also becomes the bed and is very comfortable. At the end of the bed is the tv. There is storage above and Andrea disapproved valances.

Likes & dislikes

Likes

  1. Matt takes the first like with the size because it’s a very popular size for a class B Mercedes motorhome and they did very well with it.

  2. Andrea takes the second like with how modern the technology is with the massaging and heated seats and the camera set up.

  3. Matt takes the final like with the electric door and sliding screen door and the way the motorhome looks.

Dislikes

  1. Matt takes the first dislike with the lack of storage in the back.

  2. Andrea takes the second dislike with the storage above the seats because you could bump your head. Matt combos that with the storage above the cab as well for the same reason.

  3. Matt takes the third dislike with how dark it is inside. He also combos it with how small everything is.

My final thoughts

Although this motorhome is very small they did very well with it. As Andrea said the technology is up to date and everything is very comfortable. I don’t like how tight everything is but for the size of the rv they did an amazing job.
